Hi, I’m Saba, a freelance illustrator and occasional storyteller. I was born and raised in Tehran, Iran, and at 17 I moved to Dubai to study Interior Design at the American University in Dubai. I graduated in 2009 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts and a growing passion for illustration. After eight years in Dubai and a short stay in Berlin, I moved to London in 2012. Eleven years later, in 2023, I relocated to Frankfurt, where I’m now focusing fully on my illustration journey.

At the heart of my work is optimism. I try to infuse each piece with humour, warmth, positive energy, and compassion. These aren’t just artistic choices — they’re values I truly believe in, and I hope they come through in my illustrations. I find inspiration in everyday details: the first sip of morning coffee, a walk through the neighbourhood, or a song that stirs something inside me.

For me, art is a way to connect — not only with others but also with myself. It’s a daily practice of slowing down, noticing, and translating little moments of life into drawings that feel authentic and human.

In May 2025, my illustrations were exhibited at the Éclat de Lire Children’s Book Fair in Valence d’Agen, France.

I’m always happy to hear from brands, magazines, or individuals who’d like to collaborate. For commissions or licensing requests, please email contact me.
